The best window for Sajek Valley is Jul – Oct. November to February is the easiest season for travel across Bangladesh generally - cool and dry - while the monsoon between June and September is when the haors, waterfalls and hills are at their most dramatic.
How to reach: Bus from Dhaka to Khagrachhari (6–7 hours), then a shared chander gari (jeep) convoy from Dighinala (about 3 hours) - convoys run in escorted groups at fixed departure times for security.

History
Once accessible only to the Lushai and Tripura communities of remote Baghaichari upazila, Sajek opened up once the Khagrachhari–Dighinala–Sajek road was paved in the 2010s. It quickly became one of the most photographed hill destinations in the country, though it remains inside the Chittagong Hill Tracts’ security zone.
