A private university on a new dedicated campus at Purbachal, with a strong emphasis on textile engineering and CSE.
History
Green University of Bangladesh was established in 2003 and later relocated to a large dedicated campus at Purbachal on the eastern edge of Dhaka, unusual among private universities for building on a single self-contained new site rather than staying in rented city-centre buildings. It developed a particular emphasis on textile engineering, aligned with the country's garment export industry. It has grown a strong computer science and engineering programme alongside its textile focus.
