History
Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology began as Rajshahi Engineering College in 1964 and was upgraded to full university status in 2003, one of three original regional engineering colleges to gain independent status. It grew from a small number of civil and electrical programmes into a broad engineering university. It remains one of the most selective engineering destinations for students from northern Bangladesh.
