History
United International University was established in 2003 by the United Group, a major Bangladeshi industrial conglomerate, with an unusually strong scholarship-driven admissions philosophy from the outset. It built a reputation for merit-based tuition waivers aimed at meritorious but financially needy students. It has grown a strong computer science and engineering programme alongside its business school.
