History
Pabna University of Science and Technology was established in 2008 in central Bangladesh's Pabna district, part of a wave of science and technology universities created in the 2000s to widen access to technical education beyond Dhaka. It began with a small number of engineering and science departments on a newly built campus. It has since expanded its computer science and applied physics programmes to serve the wider Pabna-Sirajganj region.
